Pana Mia
Pana Social

Social Media
That Is Private
and Local

A social network for South Florida, owned by the people in it. Private by default, local on purpose, and built to connect panas who already work together.

Pana Social is designed for Local Life.

  • Local

Everyone here is in Broward, Miami-Dade or Palm Beach — the makers and shops you can actually walk to. Not a global feed that buries the bakery down the street.

  • Private

No ad auction, no tracking pixels, no profile of you built and sold on. Nobody here measures your attention, because nobody here is selling it.

  • Connected

The panas you follow are the same ones in the directory and behind the tables at events. A follow here can turn into a booking, a collab or a shared stall.

How It Works

Five screens, one neighborhood. Each one is a different way back to the same people.

The Feed
The Feed

Your block, in the order it happened

Posts from panas across Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach, newest first — no ranking deciding which neighbor you hear from. The canal at 6am, the pop-up on Saturday, the studio with a free table going spare. Things close enough to actually go to.

Groups
Groups

A room for every corner of the scene

A neighborhood, a craft, a project, a mutual aid run. Groups are where a loose follow turns into people who plan something together — and they stay small enough that showing up still counts for something.

Events
Events

Where a post becomes a door you walk through

Markets, mixers, workshops and shows, posted by the panas actually running them and carrying a real going count. The whole point of a local feed is that you can close it and be there in twenty minutes.

Pana Profiles
Pana Profiles

The person behind the work

A profile here is the same pana you find in the directory — the shop, the craft, the portfolio and the posts in one place. You meet somebody in the feed and you can book them by the end of the afternoon.

Stories

Today, before it disappears

Tap a pana's face and watch their day go by — the stall going up, the line at the window, the sky over the canal. Stories last twenty-four hours and then they're gone, which is exactly the point: an invitation to today, not a permanent record to perform for.

What You Get

  • No algorithm

Newest first, every time. Nothing is promoted, buried or reordered to keep you scrolling, because nobody here earns anything from how long you stay.

  • No ad profile

No tracking pixels, no data brokers, no version of you assembled and sold on. Your attention is not the product, so it is not being measured.

  • An address that travels

Your handle is @you@panamia.club and it speaks ActivityPub, so a post here reaches Mastodon too — and if you ever leave, your panas come with you.

The Point

Own your feed.

Every other timeline you read belongs to someone whose business is selling your attention back to you. This one belongs to the people in it.
