Debris Free Oceans

Hi there, SoFlo community! We are local nonprofit Debris Free Oceans! Our mission is to inspire Miami-Dade to go zero-waste! We believe in being more proactive, as opposed to reactive, to our mounting waste problem. Cleanups are just the gateway to understanding our reliance on single-use plastics. Once we see all the single-use plastic items we pick up, the easier it is to recognize the need to make incremental swaps from single-use to reuse! This isn’t just about individual action, of course. We want to help motivate economic and legislative changes that will strengthen the circular economy, from refill grocery stores to reusable takeout containers to #skipthestuff campaigns. We love good time and like to party with a purpose! Join our efforts to help build a more sustainable, plastic-free Miami, dale!<3
